Access to quality education is a cornerstone for reducing poverty and fostering sustainable development. In partnership with Children Believe, the Baptist Child Development Program has undertaken significant efforts to ensure that all school-going children in program communities have access to quality education. By focusing on infrastructure development, resource provision, teacher capacity building, and enhanced learning methodologies, the program has positively impacted education outcomes in Gburimani, Gupanarigu, and Cheshegucommunities.
Implemented activities across Program Communities
1. Constructed a 3-unit classroom block for Gburimani Primary School.
2. Built a 2-unit classroom block with urinals for Cheshegu Kindergarten School.
3. Established ICT laboratories in Gupanarigu and Cheshegu to improve computer literacy among students.
4. Distributed educational materials, including exercise books, "My Copy books", pens, pencils, and mathematical sets to individual students.
5. Provided TV sets, computers, dual desks, and textbooks to enhance teaching and learning in the school.
6. Conducted refresher training for kindergarten and primary school teachers on innovative teaching methods, such as improvisation and Learning Through Play (LTP)
